At the age of 93, on 10 January 2026, the former Valencia CF player passed away
Diego López underwent successful surgery on Tuesday for a fracture to his left cheekbone, sustained in the match against UD Almería at Mestalla.
The Valencia CF forward will spend the first few hours under observation until his condition allows him to be discharged from hospital.
